The scout organisation is a charity so we are able to use Gift Aid to claim back tax on all subscriptions.
Last year we claimed almost £500 back with Gift Aid.

Any parent who is a taxpayer can allow their children's subs to be given as Gift Aid.
Just one form will cover all their children forever. It does not need to be entered on your tax return
